Preface – KN95s are NOT my “daily driver” mask. I usually use BNX bifold N95. They fit my face very well and I use them for situations where I need to put the mask on and KEEP it on. Think air travel, medical visits, shopping trips that take more than 5min, etc. KN95s are for more “in n out” situations, since donning and doffing is easier (and arguably puts less strain on a KN95 than an N95).
So with that said:
I, like many others, found the medium to be way too big – I’m a petite female, 30s, small face. The medium size dug into my neck and the seal compromised anytime I’d dip my head down – no bueno. I was discouraged by the other reviews (from women in my predicament!) saying the kids size was too small, but I also saw one or two reviews saying they made it work….so I sprung for it. And yes, it is tight. But the mask itself is NOT too small. It actually fits my face VERY well. I found that manually stretching the earloops helps to create a more or less perfect fit. Again, IT IS TIGHT, but it is not unbearably so. For my purposes (an easy to don and doff mask for quick trips indoors), this will work just fine.
